JLC Living and Learning Community
The Living and Learning Community is a new program at University of the Ozarks for high-functioning students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The program is a part of the University's Jones Learning Center, one of the premier centers in the country for college students with learning disabilities and ADHD. The Living and Learning Community's goal is to support the growing number of students on the autism spectrum that are now attending college.
Coordinated by Betty Stockton, the program provides support that emphasizes social thinking for students with ASD, with specific training in social and life skills as well as comprehensive academic support through the JLC.
