General Business at Ozarks
The unique liberal arts approach to the study of business at University of the Ozarks is designed to prepare students for a lifetime of challenges and opportunities in an ever-changing world. Courses emphasize communication, human relations and critical thinking skills, as well as the development of student leadership, versatility and adaptability.
Opportunities outside the classroom: Only at Ozarks will you find the Baldor Executive-In-Residence program, which has brought to campus top business executives from companies including Baldor Electric, Dow Jones & Company and Wal Mart Stores, Inc., who have given students the opportunity to learn from their experiences on the front lines of the business world.
Campus organizations, including Future Business Leaders of America/Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) promote hands-on leadership and decision-making enterprises, encourage community service, offer social interactionand provide opportunities for students to compete against other college teams in various business competitions. Students also have access to various job search resources.
