Early Childhood Education at Ozarks
Ozarks offers bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education for students who wish to teach grades preschool through fourth grade. Students who successfully complete the program leave Ozarks with a strong liberal arts foundation which has been tailored to help them understand and effectively communicate with students in a classroom setting.
Teacher licensure is also available in art and music for either preschool through eighth grade or grades seven through twelve. Concurrent teacher licensure is available for students who wish to teach special education. Coaching endorsement is also available.
Early Childhood Education majors follow a course of study that teaches about educational assessment, developing content readers, and special needs learners, just to name a few.
You'll have the opportunity to develop close and lasting friendships with fellow education majors and to study under innovative and interested faculty. You'll have the chance to experience teaching in the "real-world" as you embark on a full year of student teaching in an area public school. And when you've completed your degree and moved on, you'll continue to receive assistance from our faculty, who strive to maintain close contact with graduates.
