History and Literature at Ozarks
History and Literature majors at Ozarks will study not only historical events, but also literary works which influenced historical action.
As an Ozarks history and literature student, you will have the chance to grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually. You will learn about a variety of cultures and can leave Ozarks prepared to pursue advanced study in graduate or professional schools, teach at the middle-level, or obtain employment using the knowledge and skills you've acquired!
Get involved! The history department lets Ozarks history students get hands-on experience in the field. A number of Internships are available that offer students the opportunity to practice history outside an academic setting, such as in a museum, a national or state park, or with a historical society.
