Earning Your Degree

You may already know that University of the Ozarks offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in 27 major areas.  At this point, you might be wondering "Exactly what will it take to earn my degree?".

  1. You'll start out with a group of core classes. These courses are required for all degrees/majors.
  2. You'll also be required to take courses from seven different distribution areas -- these courses are designed to expose you to a broad range of topics.
  3. Finally, when you've decided on a major area of study, you'll take courses that develop your knowledge in the major area (or areas) you choose. Our faculty have put together suggested plans of study for each major to help you decide which courses you need to take each semester.

There are other requirements you'll have to meet before you can graduate -- follow the links on the left to learn about all the requirements, and about how our academic programs at Ozarks work.
