Core Requirements
Twenty-one (21) semester hours make up the "core" of an Ozarks education. These core courses should be taken during the first and second years -- they provide a common base for all Ozarks students by developing critical skills and providing a context for advanced study. Your core courses will consist of:
- IND 1003 Critical Inquiry* (ISO 2, 4)
- COM 1003 Basic Oral Communication (ISO 1)
- ENG 1013 Composition I (ISO 1)
- ENG 1213 Composition I (ISO 1)
- MTH 1033 College Algebra (or a higher-level mathematics course) (ISO 2, 3 [math])
- HIS 2013 World Civilization I (ISO 2, 3 [humanities])
HIS 2023 World Civilization II (ISO 2, 3 [humanities])
or
HUM 2013 Humanities I (ISO 2, 3 [humanities])
HUM 2023 Humanities II (ISO 2, 3 [humanities])
