Transfer of Credit From Other Institutions of Higher Education
If you've completed any college credits at another institution - including credits earned as part of a concurrent or summer program -- you must submit official copies of transcripts from each of those institutions. The work recorded on these transcripts will be evaluated by our registrar to determine if it can be applied to your Ozarks course requirements. This evaluation will be based on:
- Accreditation of the transfer institution through a regional accrediting body or, for international institutions, recognition by the country's Ministry of Education as a degree granting institution
- Earned grades of C- or higher or documentation showing grades of P are equivalent to C- or higher
- Applicability of the course towards a degree program (such as associate's or bachelor's degree) at the transfer institution
You can receive no more than sixty-six hours of credit from junior or community colleges and/or no more than nine hours of credit for correspondence or on-line courses.
Courses which meet the criteria for transfer may fulfill general education requirements as determined by the registrar or may fulfill major requirements as determined by your discipline advisor once you have formally declared your major.
