Eric Leon enters his fifth year as a staff member at the University of the Ozarks. Leon, who is a former international student at Ozarks, assists the admission office by keeping in contact with all prospective students who live outside of the United States.
Having heard about Ozarks through a friend in Panama that received the Walton Scholarship, Leon applied and received the International Achievement Scholarship before eventually graduating from U of O in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. The Panama City native relies on his experience of being an international student to help recruit students worldwide.
In his free time, Leon still visits his family in Panama, along with watching movies, taking roadtrips, cooking and working on computers.
Eric's Advice to Prospective Students: Make sure you look for something or some place that will make you feel like you are part of a family.
Why Ozarks?: Ozarks has a great International Studies Office and personnel that will help guide you while you are earning your degree.
Favorite Place(s) on Campus: My office in Voorhees Hall.
Impressions of Clarksville: Clarksville is a very safe environment that gives you the feel of being at home.
Eric's Territory: All countries outside of the United States.
