My Preview Day...

I had already fallen in love with Ozarks before I came to Fall Preview day; however during Preview day, I got the chance to attend a sample class.

Now at other colleges, when I sat in on a sample class, the teacher, the students, everyone ignored me. It was like I didn't exist, didn't matter. I walk into Dr. Lindström's Chamber Choir class, and sat down, fully expecting to be ignored. The girl in front of me turned around and introduced herself and her friends, and then we continued to talk until the class began. Dr. Lindström also introduced himself, and then asked us if we would like to sing with the choir that day.

That moment made me realize that the Ozarks is not just another college, it's a home full of crazy aunts, uncles, and cousins. Now as a student at Ozarks, I'm in Dr. Lindström's Chapel Choir class. Without Fall Preview day, I probably wouldn't have had a clue that I would enjoy choir or had the courage to try it.

There are lots of ways to learn about a college. You can go online, look through brochures, or speak to a representative, but every college has a different feel, mindset, and environment that you can only experience by spending time on campus. Visiting is really the best way to discover if your college is a place you will be comfortable and excited about learning.

We invite you to bring your guests and spend a day on our campus to discover if Ozarks is right for you. Our Discover Ozarks preview day is designed with your needs and questions in mind. You'll be able to:

  • Meet current Ozarks students and other prospective students.
  • Tour campus.
  • Attend a sample class.
  • Eat lunch with faculty members and athletic coaches.
  • Explore the Ozarks with the Ozarks Outbackers.
  • ...and much more!
