Admission Requirements: High School Concurrent Students

For students in Johnson County or attending nearby school districts, Ozarks offers the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Take up to 6 courses and the tuition is waived when you meet the requirements listed.

All concurrent courses are taught on the Ozarks campus and contain a mix of high school and college students. Juniors may enroll in one course per semester and seniors may enroll in two courses per semester.

To apply, students must submit a letter of recommendation from their high school principal, or parents (if home schooled); standardized test scores of 20 or higher on the ACT, at least 940 on the SAT (Critical Reading and Mathematics); and a high school transcript indicating a grade point average of at least 3.00. To be eligible to enroll in Composition I or College Algebra, the student must have achieved an ACT sub-score of 20 or higher in English or an ACT sub-score of 22 in Mathematics, respectively. Students may submit for individual evaluation evidence of other performance criteria if recommended by the high school principal.

Transportation to campus and required textbooks are the student's responsibility.
