University of the Ozarks offers a number of merit-based scholarships for first-time freshmen and for transfer students. The charts below will allow you to compare the scholarship amounts and criteria for consideration.

Scholarships for first-time freshmen

The scholarships listed below are available for students who are classified as first-time freshmen entering college:

Scholarship Amount Criteria for Consideration
Academic Distinction Scholarship Tuition, Room, Board, $800 Book Allowance - Must be an Arkansas resident
- Recipient of the Arkansas Governor's Scholarship OR the Arkansas Distinguished Governor's Scholarship
Hazel Carr Robson Scholarship Tuition, Room, Board, $400 Book Allowance - Must have been a resident of Rogers County, Okla. for at least the past three (3) years
- Essay, interview, and counselor recommendation required
Hurie Scholarship $23,750 - ACT score of at least 27 OR SAT score of at least 1210 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Core GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Not selected as an Arkansas Governor's Scholarship recipient
- Essay and interview are required
Merit Scholarships $8,000-$15,000/year - Award amount is determined upon evaluation of your application for admission.
TEACH Award $5,000 - ACT score of at least 21 OR SAT score of at least 980 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Core GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Interview required
Art Scholarship Up to full tuition - Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Portfolio required
Theatre Scholarship Up to full tuition - Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Audition and/or portfolio showing lighting, costume, or set design work required
Music Scholarship Up to full tuition - Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Audition required
Johnson County Scholarship Up to $1,500 - ACT score of at least 18 OR SAT score of at least 860 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Must be a graduate from a Johnson County High School in the state of Arkansas
- Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
Presbyterian Scholarship Up to $1,500 - ACT score of at least 18 OR SAT score of at least 860 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Member of the Presbyterian Church
- Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Letter from Church Official
Presbyterian Minister Scholarship Up to 1/2 of tuition - ACT score of at least 18 OR SAT score of at least 860 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Child of Presbyterian Minister within Synod of the Sun
- Core GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Letter from Church Official
Alumni Family Grant $500 - ACT score of at least 18 OR SAT score of at least 860 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Parent or grandparent must have graduated from Ozarks
- Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Letter of verification
Sibling Grant $500 - ACT score of at least 18 OR SAT score of at least 860 (combination of Critical Reading and Math subject scores)
- Two or more children from the same family enrolled simultaneously at Ozarks
- Core GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Letter of verification

Scholarships for transfer students

The scholarships listed below are available for students transferring to Ozarks from any accredited college or university:

Transfer Recognition Scholarship $7,000 to $15,000 - Transferring from an accredited college or university
TEACH Award $5,000 - College GPA of 3.0 or higher

Art Scholarship Up to full tuition - College GPA of 2.5 or higher

Theatre Scholarship Up to full tuition - College GPA of 2.5 or higher

Music Scholarship Up to full tuition - Core GPA of 2.5 or higher

Presbyterian Scholarship Up to $1,500 - Member of the Presbyterian Church
- College GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Letter from Church Official
