The Academic Distinction Scholarship
The Academic Distinction Scholarship covers all educational costs (tuition, room, board, academic fees, and books). It does not include administrative fees such as activity fee, media fee, computer use fees, etc. (these total approximately $450 per academic year).
- To qualify for an Academic Distinction Scholarship you must be named a recipient of the Arkansas Governor's Scholarship.
- Talk to your high school counselors about applying for a Governor's Scholarship.
You should submit an application for federal student aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 of your senior year and designate any scholarships awarded by sources other than Ozarks, to the University of the Ozarks.
To renew an Academic Distinction Scholarship: You must meet the requirements established by the state of Arkansas to maintain your Governor's Scholarship.
