Governor's Scholars Program
If you're an Arkansas high school student, there's a special scholarship program enacted by the Arkansas Legislature that you need to know about -- the Governor's Scholars program.
This program offers scholarships to Arkansas high school graduates who enroll in one of Arkansas' private colleges or universities. There are two levels of scholarships available: Governor's Distinguished Scholarships and Governor's Scholarships.
Governor's Distinguished Scholarship
If you qualify for a Governor's Distinguished Scholarship and are selected to receive the award, you will receive up to $10,000 per year to help pay your tuition, mandatory fees, room, and board at any approved Arkansas college or university.
As an added benefit, if you are awarded the Governor's Distinguished Scholarship and you enroll at Ozarks, the university will pay all remaining cost for tuition, fees, room, board, and books (see Academic Distinction Scholarship details).
Governor's Scholarship
Recipients of the Governor's Scholarship will receive $4,000 per year to pay expenses at an approved Arkansas college or university.
If you're selected to receive a Governor's Scholarship and you enroll at Ozarks, you'll also be awarded an Academic Distinction Scholarship from Ozarks. With this scholarship combination, we'll pick up the any costs for your tuition, academic fees, room, board, and books which aren't covered by your Governor's Scholarship (see Academic Distinction Scholarship details).
