Each of these programs will be offered at 10:30 am, 11:00 am, and 11:30 am.
All sessions will be held in the Boreham Business Building.
- College Survival Skills
- College is a new and bewildering world for many students, and some can get into trouble before they even know it (or admit it). This session will begin with a humorous look at mistakes to avoid during the first few weeks, and will conclude with a more serious discussion of attitudes to adopt for success not only in college but also in life.
- Student Support Services/Career Services
- Do you want to make good grades and select a major that will lead to an interesting career? This is the session for YOU! We will help you to explore the best methods for keeping those grades up and planning for your future. Student Support Services provides students with FREE special services such as tutoring, supplemental instruction, developmental classes, writing labs, accommodations for students with disabilities, computer labs, internships, career exploration, and much, much more. Come check us out!!!
- Library Resources
- Libraries are about books. Right? Well, Robson Library does have over 100,000 printed volumes, but most of the knowledge that is available to you on campus is accessible through Robson's "virtual library" of dozens of online databases, with thousands of books and magazines and millions of documents in full text! Get a quick review of the traditional (printed paper) and a brief preview of the digital (Internet) resources that Robson Library has to offer.
- Recreational Activities and Intramural Sports
- University of the Ozarks has many opportunities for students to participate in recreational activities and intramural sports. Explore the different ways to be involved in intramurals sports, recreation, cheerleading and dance. Also, with our University nestled between the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains, there are many options and opportunities to get outside and experience the beauty that surrounds the Univerisity of the Ozarks. We offers a few different student organizations that cater to the outdoors, for example, Ozarks Outbackers and the Planet Club.
- Student Involvement
- The number of student organizations continues to grow at University of the Ozarks. We boast over 40 different Student Organizations! This session will provide information about many opportunities for students to become involved in University-wide organizations.
- Student Media and Publications
- University of the Ozarks media and publications include weekly news programs; KUOZ TV Channel 6, KUOZ Radio, a yearly literary magazine - Falstaff, and the Ozarks yearbook - the Aerie. This session provides an overview of ways student publications and media are utilized at the University.
- Study Abroad
- University of the Ozarks extends its learning opportunities to other countries. Students may spend a semester overseas or take academic trips during Christmas, Spring Break and Summer. Find out how the University provides hands on learning experiences outside the United States.
- Religious Life on Campus
- There are a number of religious organizations here at U of O. Some include: Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Catholic Campus Ministries, Methodist Campus Ministries, Alpha and Omega, and the up and coming Presbyterian College Connection. Ozarks also provides weekly chapel services and meditation meetings! Come learn about how much our University is influenced by God and various religions.
- Work-Study
